    LegalZoom vs. Rocket Lawyer

    GpostingBy GpostingFebruary 6, 2022No Comments4 Mins Read

Are you looking to create a limited liability company, corporation or non-profit, but struggling to settle on the best forming service to use?

Choosing the right service for your business and legal needs can be challenging. That’s why we’ve carefully evaluated more than a dozen of the top big service providers, looking at and comparing metrics for several key categories, such as price and turnaround time. We took a closer look at the individual reviews of LegalZoom and Rocket Lawyer. In this article we will compare them head-on.

    LegalZoom vs. Rocket Lawyer: Verdict

In this particular online legal services matchup, I think Rocket Lawyer Review is the best. Rocket Lawyer provides adequate turnaround times and facilitates LLC formation or integration with state agencies more easily than LegalZoom. Rocket Lawyer has established a strong performance and high level of customer satisfaction on independent review sites with an average rating of 4.6 out of 5.

Their services are easy to use and their monthly membership includes several services that many new business owners will find useful, such as legal advice through online consultation with an attorney, and a library of legal forms. However, I generally hate setting up a monthly fee. And, unfortunately, non-member fees for individual services at Rocket Lawyer add up very quickly. Compared to Rocket Lawyer, LegalZoom’s main weakness is its provided price. LegalZoom is one of the most expensive services we have considered. It is also not suitable for those looking for a fast turnaround time. We recommend Rocket Lawyer primarily to entrepreneurs who are also interested in the additional services included in Rocket Lawyer’s monthly membership.

LegalZoom vs. Rocket Lawyers: The Price

For most entrepreneurs, price is the main factor in choosing a shaping service. Most formation services offer a set of fairly similar products, but at significantly different prices. Taking the time to find cheap options means avoiding unnecessary expenses while completing the formation. Unfortunately, it can be difficult to compare the cost of forming a business across different forming providers. Apple-to-apple comparisons are difficult as many providers sell their products through fixed bundles or use different pricing structures.

It can also be difficult to determine the true value of a package. This is especially true for those who are starting a business for the first time. Not all products and services offered are required in practice or legally.

    Rocket Lawyer

Most business shaping services offer their services through packages that contain a fixed set of products and services. Rocket lawyers have a slightly different approach to pricing. Rocket Lawyer’s clients have two choices. You can choose a separate service and pay individually upfront, or you can sign up for Rocket Lawyer’s monthly subscription to access Rocket Lawyer’s catalog. We provide services for free or at a low cost.

Your first business formation is included free of charge with your Rocket Lawyer membership. Businesses thereafter receive a 25% discount from the list price. Membership also includes a 25% discount on Rocket Lawyer’s registered agent services. Members have unlimited access to Rocket Lawyer’s library of legal documents, which allows them to obtain and draft operating agreements or corporate bylaws documents.

Membership at Rocket Lawyer covers the most important elements of forming or establishing an LLC. It also includes a handful of services that are not directly related to formation but may still be useful to new business owners. For example, Rocket Lawyer membership includes free 30-minute online attorney consultations on legal matters.

    Legal zoom

Rocket Lawyer Review Vs Legal Zoom sells its formation services in three different formation packages. They offer cost-effective packages of $ 79 for LLCs and $ 149 for legal entities. The standard package is $ 329 and Express Gold is $ 349. One problem with the LegalZoom package is that it is missing both important elements: a registered agent service and an operating agreement (or corporate bylaws in the case of corporations). You can purchase these services individually from LegalZoom, but the cost is rather high. $99 per year for operating agreements/corporate ordinances, $299 per year for annual registration agent service.

LegalZoom’s economy package is the cheapest and basic of the three. This only includes preparing the organization’s articles of incorporation and submitting it to the Secretary of State for that state (including checking the availability of business names). LegalZoom is also committed to reviewing your submissions and checking for errors so that they can be processed without delay. We also promise lifetime customer support. But we would expect this from all our services.
