    JamesBy JamesNovember 14, 2022No Comments4 Mins Read

Choosing the right suit and connect color for men can be difficult. Blue? Gray? Black? Red? It is essential to know which color you should wear and why. Fear not, gents. We are here to show you how to do it correctly. Continue reading to learn how.

    The basics

We know a lot of contradicting information, so we have put together this guide to help you choose the right suit and emerald green tie. Don’t worry, gents. We’ll keep things simple.

The primary suit colors for men are Black, Gray, and Blue. These have been further broken down into variations, which we will discuss in this article.

We would have a suit for every occasion in a perfect world. But unfortunately, we don’t have unlimited funds, so we have listed the three most important things you should pay attention to so you get the most mileage out of your suit.

    • Formality and color
    • Opportunities to Wear
    • Interchangeability

Let’s take these a little further.

    • Formality and Color

You’re probably familiar with writing and know that formality plays a significant role in choosing the right colors. You don’t often see blue suede shoes or pink shirts on Wall Street. Similar rules apply to suits.

    Black

The black suit is the best choice for formality. Black suits are reserved for formal events. Although the black case is trendy and readily available, it is too formal for business wear and is not recommended for everyday use.

    Charcoal Gray

Next, Charcoal Gray. Gray is an excellent color for men when you are just starting. A grey suit is a must-have for every man. This suit is perfect for business environments. It’s formal, but not too formal for a black or white tie. This suit is ideal for young people starting, mainly if it signifies wealth and wisdom.

    Navy

Navy is a classic color and a great choice of suit color. This suit can be worn in many colors and in all business situations. To avoid appearing “washed out,” some men with darker skin tones choose a navy blue suit instead of a gray suit. This suit is also great for older men who wish to appear more youthful.

    • Opportunities to Wear Men’s Suit Colors

This section focuses on how often you would wear each color every day. But, of course, it all depends on your circumstances, so adjust the information to fit your needs.

    Black and Midnight Blue

Black and Midnight Blue are reserved for formal wear for men. Midnight Blue is more prominent than Black, making it the former of the two. Black is the better choice if you are forced to choose. Midnight Blue might be an option if you are attending a 2-night event.

    Light Blue and Light Gray

These colors are excellent choices, but you can wear them less. These suits are both memorable, mainly light Blue. Summer and hot weather are great times to wear them. These suits will be a great addition to your collection if you live somewhere hot.

    • Interchangeability

Choose the most versatile suit possible when you start. It can be worn in a variety of settings and environments. But, on the other hand, it’s not worth spending a lot of money on a suit that you only wear a few times per year.

    Black and Midnight Blue

These colors could be more versatile and should be reserved for formal events. Black is the most eloquent and can be worn in many colors with a green bow tie. However, black and Midnight Blue can become too dominant in everyday situations, so be careful and be sparing with them!

    Navy and Medium Gray

Medium Gray and navy are interchangeable. The Navy is a popular choice because it can be paired with many shirts and ties. A classic combination is the blue suit/brown sneakers. When starting your wardrobe, navy and medium grey are great choices. They can be worn with many styles of shoes and can also be dressed down for more formal occasions.
