    Die Cut vs. Kiss Cut Stickers—Which Should I Choose?

    Every business, brand or organization willing to put the word out about their existence and the operations they have been going on before their intended audience and clientele require stickers. Stickers that carry their business logo, their name, and such. If you are a retail store planning on throwing a big sale around the corner then you must have some stickers designed around that need so you can plaster it around your neighborhood to get exposure and drive more people to the store around the intended event. There are two classic options when it comes to designing and functionality of the stickers such as Die Cut and Kiss cut stickers, both of these are explained in grave detail as follows;

    Die cut vs. Kiss cut

    The stickers in the form of design and how these get plastered over stuff come into two different options such as Die cut and Kiss cut. Now both of these stickers are perfectly identical to one and the other depending on the formatting or the type of design that you have chosen but it is the sticking part that is a little different in terms of the aesthetics.

    The die cut means that the back of the sticker from where you peel it off and stick it to a certain surface is cut exactly into the front design of the sticker to match the aesthetics and design dimensions and such. It looks more genuine, artistic and above all provides your brand’s name and logo a complete look.

    On the other hand, the kiss cut sticker offers an asymmetric block-like peel to the back sticking part of it which means that it is not exactly cut like the front of the sticker. All you have to do is to peel the block from behind and stick it wherever you want to. It can be a little tricky to get the sticker off the die cut as you need to peel it from various corners and turns due to being symmetric with your design but the kiss cut sticker’s peel come right off in a single try.

    Which one should you choose?

    If you are willing to make an impact/impression on your audience then going with the die-cut sticker is the right thing to do. It would definitely bring out the aesthetical aspects of your brand’s logo or a name that you want to bring out to the people, it looks neat, reads great, and serves a customized purpose over the other sticker variety.

    On the other hand, if you are looking for a cost-effective option that can get your message out to your audience without breaking the budget then the custom kiss cut stickers are the right option for you. You can have them made in different sizes and designs along with tailoring other details as you want to. These are also perfect to be plastered over surfaces that are uneven and want a solid covering such as the block peel that reveals the adhesive of the sticker. At the end of the day, you would have to make your own choice.
